I am a perfect example of someone who thought she was tough as anything and could deal with anything that came her way. Never did I think I would need a personal trainer and never did I think that person would end up being the exact thing I needed in my life.
I have been a client and now best friend with Sam for about 5 months. It’s not a long time, but I feel like we have known each other forever. I remember it being quite a blur when all this craziness started. I’m not going to talk about how I wanted abs and ass like the girls on Instagram. My journey has been so much more.
When I started with Sam, I was a broken mess. My heart had been ripped out of my chest and the domino effect of course happened. I was frail, lost all my strength, stopped eating, dropped almost 7 kilos in less than 2 weeks. I hit rock bottom and just stopped taking care of myself. I’m not afraid to tell you this because everyone goes through a shit storm at one point in their lives and let me tell you it bloody does make a huge impact on your health as much as you may think it doesn’t. My first training session was very hard and emotional. I couldn’t squat for shit, I couldn’t push a sled with little to no weight on it. I felt absolutely sick. My head and heart wasn’t in the right place and my body was suffering from it. 5 to almost 6 months has gone by now and I can confidently say I am a completely different person. It’s not about the girls on Instagram. Who bloody cares really? #bodygoals #shutup #andgetout I can deadlift significantly more than my own body weight, I can do chin ups, I can squat AND pause and get myself back up. This means more to me than looking perfect. I feel so strong and confident in myself that I have made a life decision to move to Melbourne and start a new life. Months ago, before i started and was in that rotten state I would not have been able to do this. This is the most excited I have ever been in my whole life. I’m literally ready to take on the world. If you watch the footage on the cameras at the gym you will see my entire journey with Sam. We were constantly going from one extreme to another. Tears of sadness, angry heavy-weight sets to jumping fits of happiness, belly laughs when I drop the power bag and try to keep it together without Sam seeing (but she sees and laughs) and finally tears again, but this time tears of happiness. I got my strength back and I feel complete happiness again. Sam has not only helped me look and feel fitter she’s helped me get my life back and most importantly, she has helped me to grow and glue my heart back together. Just in time for me to have enough strength to support her in all her jumps and hurdles she has taken on in the last few months. I will never forget what Sam has done for me. She is not only a trainer, she is a life changer. So if you’re um’ing and ah’ing about taking on your journey with Sam, my advice to you is to just do it. Don’t think just do. Get it done. Because you have no idea what this could do for you. Do it for YOU and only you. Thank you Sam, I am so incredibly lucky to have you in my life. I am proud of you and of how far you have come being here in Australia. I will always be forever grateful for you and you will always be in my heart. I love you to bits!

Stacey HunterFrom an unhealthy thin 24% body fat to an extremely healthy fit and toned 15% body fat is the transformation I have had thanks to Mark’s continued support and motivation. It’s not always about how you look on the outside but more importantly what’s going on in the inside and up until recently this is something I did not realise the importance of; as my diet consisted of fizzy juice, junk food and too much alcohol.
